Most of the mendacious web hosting service providers offer their hosting plans at unrealistically low prices. You sign an agreement and pay the required amount. The plan requires a full year payment in advance, but the host doesn’t give the log-in account on one pretext or the other. And suddenly you realize that you have made a big mistake. You should verify whether or not the claims made by your hosting company are valid. Here are a few tips for the same.
• Ensure if your host use Verisign or has a BBB seal visible on their personal site. If you don’t see an assurance about their business practices, you should not trust it.
• Compare your hosting plans with some of the other reputed hosting service providers. If you find that the price that you are offered is too good, and at the same time, you are offered tremendous disk space, excellent connection, and download speed along with advanced control panel features, move on to look for another host.
• It is advisable that you verify the credentials of your web hosting service provider. Check the host’s reputation in the market, and proceed further if the claims are genuine.
• Do proper research to assess what other clients say about that host. Check why they are satisfied or unsatisfied.
If you find that a couple of points mentioned here do not go in favor of a web hosting service provider, it does not necessarily mean that it is a fraud. These are only pointers to caution you that you need to study well, and do your homework well before signing any contract.
